Come join us on the banks of Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake) on Saturday
November 12, 2011 for Wild Carp Club's of Texas first tournament — Wild
Carp Texas Showdown.
The peg draw is at 6:00 AM under the I-35 Bridge. The GPS coordinates
are 30.251609, -97.735909.
This tournament starts at 7:00 AM and ends at 7:00 PM.Anglers will have
15 minutes to land any fish hooked just before 7:00 PM. Anglers may pre-bait
up until 7:00 AM, but no lines with hooks may be casted until then.
Basic Rules
- $50 per person
- Three rods per angler, one hook per rod
- Proper Carp care is required (including use of landing mats, catch and
release angling, and use of holding sacks when awaiting marshals) - Weigh marshal must weigh your catch and record your score
- No bait boats or boats allowed
Prize Payouts
It will be a 12 hour, peg draw style tournament with total weight winning 85% of total entrance fees received.
- 1st Place = 50% of prize money
- 2nd Place = 35% of prize money
- 3rd Place = 15% of prize money
